Culture & identity · FOUNDATION JOURNAL

Culture is not a museum. It is a conversation.

Culture lives in the language we speak, songs we remember, food we share, theatre we watch and stories passed between generations.

Tradition keeps moving

Bengal’s cultural life has been shaped by literature, folk song, craft, cinema and neighbourhood celebrations. Preserving culture does not mean freezing it in time.

Make room for more voices

Cultural inclusion begins with listening. A community event is richer when elders, young people and different experiences can participate meaningfully.

Pass it on, together

Record an elder’s memory, learn a local song, support an artist or invite neighbours to share a story.
